Paul Bakanowski went in for a regular physical with his primary care physician, expecting nothing out of the ordinary. However, high calcium levels led his physician to refer him to cardiologist Dr. Sameer Mehta, who recommended a cardiac catherization procedure. The result of that procedure was a recommendation for CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft). Paul underwent the procedure at Rose Medical Center with Dr. Michael Firstenberg.
