We did it, now what?”  This class will help you prepare prenatally for the first three months at home or what we refer to as the 4th trimester. You will learn important skills for getting the home ready for your baby’s arrival, meal planning and preparation, household tasks and chores, and important information on the emotional elements of the postpartum period. The information and skills presented to you will be relevant whether you are a first time or seasoned family.

This class will be held at Sky Ridge Medical Center inside the Women’s Hospital Atrium Classroom located 10101 RidgeGate Pkwy, Lone Tree,CO 80124.

Please take Sky Ridge Ave. east to our free, covered parking garage.  After you exit the garage, cross the street and take the stairs to the entry doors, which are adjacent to our Spine and Total Joint Center and the Evergreen Medical Office Building.  Please follow the hallway leading to the Women’s Hospital Lobby. The classroom is on your left at the end of the hallway.

If we need to cancel a class, we will notify you in advance. In the event of inclement weather, please call the hospital at 720-225-1000 at least one hour before the class is scheduled.

Refunds are made on a limited basis; please call 720-225-BABY at least five days prior to the start of a class to receive a refund.

Topics include:

  • Baby proofing your home
  • Selecting and using safety equipment
  • How to respond in an emergency

This class will be held in Meeting Room 1 at The Medical Center of Aurora located at 1501 South Potomac St, Aurora, CO 80012.

Enter the hospital through the main entrance doors. Classes will be held in meeting room number 1 which is located in the hallway to the left of the coffee kiosk. If you need assistance locating the room ask the concierge located in the lobby.

Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a snack. 

In case of bad weather, please call the hospital’s main switchboard at 303-695-2600 at least one hour before your class for possible cancellation information.

We understand that certain circumstances may arise that will inhibit your attendance. If you need to cancel or change your class registration, please call us at 303-873-0630 as soon as possible. Notification of your cancellation or a change of class date must be received at least five days prior to the start date of the class for a refund. There are no refunds once the class is in session unless you deliver your baby. We regret that occasionally, due to low registration, we must cancel a class. In this circumstance, we are happy to provide you with a full refund or allow you to enroll in another class.

This course is for expectant parents and caregivers dedicated to putting safety first. The course will provide you with vital information on infant CPR and choking, baby proofing your home, basic first aid and child passenger safety. 

This class is $50.00 per person/couple. Only the mother-to-be needs to be be registered.

This class will be held at Sky Ridge Medical Center in the Garden Level Auditorium located at 10101 RidgeGate Pkwy, Lone Tree, CO 80124 at I-25 and Lincoln.

When you arrive, please park at the main entrance to the hospital. After entering, you may take the stairs just south of the information desk to the Garden Level Café or use the elevators. Once in the Café, please take the hallway to the right of Human Resources. This hallway leads to our Classroom, Auditorium and Administrative Boardroom.

This class is designed for those who know they will be delivering by cesarean. You will learn about pre-operative preparation, anesthesia, cesarean procedure and post-operative care.

In this class we will practice breathing and relaxation techniques that are designed to reduce stress and improve overall pain control during your cesarean. We will also discuss the postpartum recovery period including household preparations, support systems and realistic expectations for caring for your baby.

This class is best taken between 32-36 weeks of your pregnancy.

This class will be held at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in the Jack Chang Conference Room located at 2001 North High St., Denver, CO.

When you arrive, please park in the parking garage located across the driveway from the RMHC entrance. After entering RMHC, you may take the stairs or the D elevators to the second floor. The Jack Chang Conference Room is located off of the waiting area.

Food and drinks are allowed in the classroom.
 

Notification of cancellation must be received at least 7 days (not including the class date) prior to the start date of the class. If cancellation or change is requested less than 7 days (not including the class date) prior, no refund will be given. This class will provide information that will create a strong foundation for successful breastfeeding. Breastfeeding Basics is designed to offer a safe setting to discuss breastfeeding education and concerns for both the breastfeeding woman and her partner. Participants will have a good understanding of milk production and general anatomy, positioning and latch, as well as collection and proper storage of breast milk. Identifying common problems such as plugged ducts, mastitis and increasing your milk supply will also be addressed. A list of community resources will be available to support you upon your return home.

This class is best taken between 30 – 36 weeks of pregnancy.

This class is for those who do not wish to attend the more in-depth Prepared Childbirth class. This 5 hour class contains basic information regarding childbirth. Techniques to help you manage your pain are explained, but there is limited time to practice. Cesarean birth is briefly covered as is medical procedures and interventions. A hospital tour is not included in this class. A childbirth preparation book is included. All instructors are certified childbirth educators. Please dress in comfortable clothing and bring 2 pillows for use on the floor during breathing and relaxation exercises. Please bring a sack lunch to eat during class time.

The birth of your child is a special time and confidence begins here. Our convenient weekend session will provide you with the knowledge to prepare for the choices you’ll make during your childbirth experience. You and your partner will learn and practice life skills from our nationally certified childbirth instructors including relaxation, effective breathing, massage, positioning, stress management and coping skills. Other subjects include the joys and challenges of pregnancy, labor and how it progresses, medical procedures, interventions, pain management and Cesarean birth. A tour of the birth place is included with the Prepared Childbirth Fast Track course. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring two pillows and a small blanket. Due to the condensed nature of this class, we ask parents to bring a lunch or snacks to enjoy during the Saturday all-day session.

There is a cost of $75.00 per person or couple. Only the mother-to-be needs to be be registered.

Please take Sky Ridge Avenue east to our free, covered parking garage. After you exit the garage, cross the street and take the stairs to the entry doors, which are adjacent to our Spine and Total Joint Center and the Evergreen Medical Office Building. Please follow the hallway into the Women’s Hospital Atrium and stop by the Information Desk to check in.

This class will meet on 05/04/2018 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on 05/05/2018 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring two pillows and a small blanket. Due to the condensed nature of this class, we ask parents to bring a lunch or snacks to enjoy during the Saturday all-day session.

Enter the hospital through the main entrance doors. Classes will be held in meeting room number 1 which is located in the hallway to the left of the coffee kiosk. If you need assistance locating the room ask the concierge located in the lobby.

This is a six-hour, “just the facts” class intended for those who want the basics or who are unable to attend the longer series. Please note that Cesarean birth is only covered briefly and relaxation/breathing techniques are explained but there is limited time for practice. A tour of the Birth Place is not included.  Please wear comfortable clothes, bring pillows, blankets, water, snacks and if you wish lunch. There will be a 30-minute break for lunch you may choose to purchase your lunch in the Sky Ridge Café.

This class is $50.00 per person/couple. Only the mother-to-be needs to be be registered.

This class will be held in the Garden Level Classroom at Sky Ridge Medical Center located at 10101 RidgeGate Pkwy, Lone Tree, CO 80124, at I-25 and Lincoln. 

When you arrive, please park at the main entrance to the hospital.  After entering, you may take the stairs just south of the information desk to the Garden Level Café or use the elevators. Once in the Café, please take the hallway to the right of Human Resources. This hallway leads to our Classroom, Auditorium and Administrative Boardroom.

Please wear comfortable clothes, bring pillows, blankets, water, snacks and if you wish lunch. There will be a 30 minute break for lunch you may choose to purchase your lunch in the Sky Ridge Café.

This class will be held in Meeting Room 1 at The Medical Center of Aurora located at 1501 South Potomac St, Aurora, CO 80012.

Enter the hospital through the main entrance doors. Classes will be held in meeting room number 1 which is located in the hallway to the left of the coffee kiosk. If you need assistance locating the room ask the concierge located in the lobby.

Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a snack. 

In case of bad weather, please call the hospital’s main switchboard at 303-695-2600 at least one hour before your class for possible cancellation information.

We understand that certain circumstances may arise that will inhibit your attendance. If you need to cancel or change your class registration, please call us at 303-873-0630 as soon as possible. Notification of your cancellation or a change of class date must be received at least five days prior to the start date of the class for a refund. There are no refunds once the class is in session unless you deliver your baby. We regret that occasionally, due to low registration, we must cancel a class. In this circumstance, we are happy to provide you with a full refund or allow you to enroll in another class.

Setting realistic expectations for your baby’s first months is important. During this class, you will discover the answers to the most common questions new parents have about baby care and the first few weeks at home.

There is a fee of $40.00 per person or couple. Only the mother-to-be needs to be be registered.

 

This class will be held at Sky Ridge Medical Center in the Garden Level Auditorium located at 10101 RidgeGate Pkwy., Lone Tree, CO 80124.

Sky Ridge is conveniently located at I-25 and Lincoln. When you arrive, please park at the main entrance to the hospital.  After entering, you may take the stairs just south of the information desk to the Garden Level Cafe, or use the elevators. Once in the Café, please take the hallway to the right of Human Resources. This hallway leads to our Classroom, Auditorium and Administrative Boardroom.

If we need to cancel a class, we will notify you in advance. In the event of inclement weather, please call the hospital at 720-225-1000 at least one hour before the class is scheduled.

This will be one of the most important classes you can take as a parent. This class covers crucial information such as infant CPR and choking, childproofing your home, basic first aid and accident prevention, basic car seat safety and more. This class is also highly recommended for Grandparents and caregivers.

This class is best taken between 32 – 38 weeks. It can also be taken after the birth of your baby.

Families that register for this class typically register for Baby 101: Understanding Your Newborn.

This class will be held at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in the Hummingbird/Bluebird Conference Room located at 2001 North High St., Denver, CO 80218.

When you arrive, please park in the parking garage located across the driveway from the RMHC entrance. After entering RMHC, the Hummingbird/Bluebird Conference Room is located to the right across from the D elevators.

Food and drinks are allowed in the classroom.
 

Notification of cancellation must be received at least 7 days (not including the class date) prior to the start date of the class. “Smoking – DARE to quit” is a small group support and education program to help you reach your goal of being smoke free.  This physician-reviewed program is based on the latest research and is facilitated by caring, trained Respiratory Care Professionals from Swedish Medical Center.  “Smoking - DARE to quit” (full program) is a four session program that offers tips and tools to help you plan for a successful quit and helps as you begin your new life as a non-smoker.  If you are ready to quit, we are here to help.  Are you ready to accept the challenge?  Each journey begins with a single step.  We are here to help you take that first step.

The cost for this class is $70.00. This free class will help you prepare for your spine surgery, hospital stay and discharge as you work with members of our Center of Excellence team.  Any patient having spine surgery is welcome and encouraged to attend.   

This event will be at the Spine and Total Joint Center - Women's Center Classroom. 10101 RidgeGate Pkwy, Lone Tree CO, 80124.

You will check in for your class at Sky Ridge’s Spine & Total Joint Center information desk. The Spine & Total Joint Center has its own entrance on the east side of the campus near our parking garage.

From southbound I-25, take the Lincoln Ave. exit west. Turn left on Park Meadows Blvd, and then, take your second left at the Sky Ridge Ave. light. Follow the signs to the Spine and Total Joint Center visitor parking on the east side of the hospital.

From northbound I-25, take the RidgeGate Parkway exit west. Turn right at the first hospital entrance and follow the signs to the Spine & Total Joint Center visitor parking on the east side of the hospital.

After you check in at the Spine & Total Joint Center information desk, you will be directed to the Women’s Atrium Classroom just down the hall.
