Routt resident in remission from blood cancer after bone marrow transplant

Doctors told the family if Schwanke had not sought medical attention, he could have died within a few months. Throughout November, he stayed in the hospital at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver as an inpatient at the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute, a specialized Leukemia unit, to prep before the transplant.
