Swedish Medical Center Colleague Spotlight

For more than 100 years, Swedish Medical Center has been a Hampden Avenue landmark. The community of Englewood and the surrounding areas have been turning to Swedish not only for exceptional healthcare, but also for career opportunities. The team culture at Swedish is storied and unique: Many of our colleagues were born at the hospital or have family history of employment. Below, we’d like to share a few of the stories of our amazing colleagues who we have had the privilege to work alongside and care like family.

How long have you been at Swedish?

A little over 3 years.

What do you love about working at Swedish?

My team in the Neuro CCU. Everyone is always helping each other our making each other laugh.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career?

My parents and family supporting me every step of the way.

What do I want people to know about my current role or department?

Everybody is so friendly and is always willing to teach or educate people on how and why we do the things we do for neuro patients.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Anything active outside or baking! (The Great British Bake-off during COVID inspired me.)

Where did you grow up and what’s your favorite thing about that place?

Boulder girl, born and raised. It’s changed a lot but I never get over the view of driving into Boulder from the hill on 36 and how close to mountain activities I was.

What’s a pet peeve of yours?

People who are flaky and don’t hold to the plans they make.
