Please refer to our Notice of Privacy Practices for more detailed information. Patients who have a complaint about their care may contact the Joint Commission from 8:30am to 5:00pm Central Time at (800) 994-6610 or email The Joint Commission.
As with all hospitals, Swedish accepts Medicare, Medicaid and Champus insurances. The other common primary care programs we accept include:

Payment plan options are available for patients without insurance.
Remember, in a life-threatening situation go to the nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1. In emergency situations, patients can go to any emergency room, regardless of the insurance they cover.

The Swedish Gift Gallery is located on campus (in the hospital's main lobby), and someone will deliver flowers, cards or a gift right to a patient or employee for you. Orders can be charged via telephone.
PLEASE NOTE: Flowers sent to the hospital must contain a patient name and a room number (room numbers are available by calling Patient Information at (303) 788-6555). Flowers CANNOT be sent to patients in our Critical Care Unit (CCU). Please make sure the patient is still in the hospital before ordering; flowers delivered after the patient is discharged cannot be returned for credit. Send flowers to Swedish Medical Center, 501 E. Hampden Ave., Englewood, CO 80113, Attn: Patient Name and Room Number, (303) 788-5000.
We do not have support groups specifically for people with depression, but suggest the following resources:

However, Swedish does offer free support groups for those who have experienced a pregnancy-related loss or the death of an infant, child or adult.
Some units allow visitors 8:00am - 8:00pm, while others only allow visitors 11:00am - 8:00pm. Prior to your visit, please call the hospital at (303) 788-5000 to confirm visiting hours.
The Critical Care Unit (CCU) allows visitors all day EXCEPT 2:30pm - 4:30pm. This is designated to provide a patient resting period. Only immediate family may visit CCU patients and a maximum of two visitors at a time are allowed with the patient.
The main entrance is open weekdays from 5:00am - 8:00pm weekdays and 7:00am - 8:00pm weekends. If you or guests come during other hours, please use our Emergency Room entrance on Girard Street – the north side of the hospital.
