The DAISY Foundation is an international recognition program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary, compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day. We are proud to recognize Sarah Velez, RN, Rehabilitation with this special honor.
In nominating Sarah, one of her patients’ family members wrote, “Sarah is really the embodiment of lovingkindness. She is efficient, funny and gentle, but also deeply present with her patients and families. Looking back on this very vulnerable time with my aging mom facing a terminal cancer diagnosis, I will always think fondly of Sarah's bright smile, kindness and timeless attention to my mom's needs. Sarah is an amazing combination of capable and kind.”
