Center for Pelvic Pain

Pelvic pain occurs mostly in the lower abdomen area, below the belly button. The pain might be steady, or it might come and go. If the pain is severe, it might impact your daily activities.

At the Center for Pelvic Pain at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center, our multidisciplinary team of physicians is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of severe pelvic pain in men and women.

Here, a multidisciplinary team of physicians treats:

  • Bladder, bowel and sexual function
  • Endometriosis
  • Neuromyofascial pain (pain related to nerves and muscles)
  • Other inflammatory conditions

Center for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Our board-certified vascular surgeons in our Center for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center offer hope if you're suffering from thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS).

Most people with TOS will improve with stretching and physical therapy. We have experience treating over 5,000 people with TOS, and less than 30 percent had surgery.

However, if surgery is indicated to treat your TOS, we perform the surgery at our center. This surgery helps by taking pressure off the nerves to the arm through the removal of the muscles that surround the nerves, removal of the first rib or both.

Care for CRPS

CRPS is a chronic pain condition that causes physical changes in your limbs, a condition mainly found in middle-aged women. In many patients, CRPS causes intense, burning pain. Additional signs and symptoms include:

  • Abnormal sweating

  • Aching pain
  • Changes in nail and hair growth
  • Decreased mobility
  • Discolored skin
  • Extreme skin sensitivity
  • Muscle loss
  • Muscle spasms or weakness
  • Numbness
  • Swelling in the joints

We offer several treatments for CRPS, including neuromodulation. If you notice any of the symptoms above, reach out to us about your care options.
