Advanced surgical services

Our physicians are dedicated to partnering with each patient to detail all options for treatment. Your unique treatment plan may include medication, physical therapy and/or surgery. If you and your doctor decide that surgery is the most effective treatment option, our team offers complete, compassionate surgical care for treatment of conditions related to gynecology, oncology, orthopedics and general surgery.

Minimally invasive surgical options

Whenever possible, our surgeons operate in a way that reduces the impact of surgery on the body. This type of surgery is called minimally invasive surgery (MIS). During minimally invasive surgery, your doctor only needs to make a few small incisions. Thin tubes (catheters) are placed through these incisions. The doctor then puts special instruments into the body. This lets the team see where they are operating without having to open the area.

One of the most advanced forms of minimally invasive surgery is robotic surgery.

Our team is providing state-of-the-art robotic surgery, right in your neighborhood.

We have three different robots that are used by our surgeons at Centennial Hospital to give you the best result. Robotic surgery benefits may include:

  • Less blood loss
  • Fewer complications
  • Decreased pain
  • Shorter hospital stay
  • Faster recovery
  • Better outcomes

Robotic-assisted procedures

Robotic–assisted surgery offers extreme precision, allowing the surgeon to perform complex procedures within the body, with minimal damage to surrounding tissues. Surgeons at Centennial Hospital perform various types of robotic-assisted procedures including: colorectal, gynecologic, gynecologic cancer, general, thoracic and urologic. We have additional robotic platforms for orthopedic and spine surgeries.

Robotic knee surgery

Getting the best fit and placement is so important for your knee replacement surgery. We offer advanced robotic–arm assisted knee surgery that begins by taking CT scans to create a 3D virtual model of your knee. The model helps your doctor create a pre–surgical plan that is just right for your specific anatomy, disease and alignment. The robotic-arm then helps ensure the accuracy of bone removal during surgery to achieve optimal results.

Robotic spine surgery

Robotic spine surgery is designed to improve accuracy in this delicate area of the body. Surgeons combine robotics with navigation to enhance precision. Using medical imagery imported into the system, the surgeon creates a plan for the size and placement of surgical implants based on your specific anatomy. This plan then helps guide the robotic arm, almost like a GPS system, allowing the surgeon to accurately place screws during the surgery.

Outpatient pharmacy services

We want to make your stay with us as smooth and easy as possible. If your doctor has prescribed medication for you to take after your surgery, you may order your medications from our outpatient pharmacy and our team will deliver your order to your room prior to discharge.

We hope this service makes your transition home easier and more convenient.
