Dennis Haynes

Dennis was having a stroke and had to take an AirLife helicopter to Swedish Medical Center.

When Dennis felt queasy and light-headed, his wife, Joyce, knew something was wrong. She called 9-1-1 and was told to rush Dennis to the Swedish Southwest ER in Littleton. The team of experts at Southwest ER recognized that Dennis was having a stroke and quickly arranged for his transportation to the Swedish Medical Center main campus in Englewood. Because the Southwest ER is a part of Swedish's network of stroke care, the ensuing lifesaving AirLife helicopter ride was not an additional cost for the family to incur during this traumatic event. At Swedish, Dennis received life-saving stroke care and continued rehabilitation through the program for the next several months. Watch the story of Dennis and Joyce as they took time to thank the team who saved his life in fall 2018:
