Denver, CO – Rose Medical Center is well known to locals as Denver's Baby Hospital. As a 9th Avenue landmark for more than 70 years, Coloradoans recognize it is something special to have a Rose Baby. Rose now is honored to be named among the nation's elite as part of Newsweek's list: Best Maternity Hospitals 2020.

"One of the greatest joys we have at Rose Medical Center is the privilege of welcoming thousands of Rose Babies each year," said Casey Guber, Rose Medical Center president and chief executive officer. "As with all areas of care, we are wholly dedicated to quality service and the safety of moms and babies in our care. I can say on behalf of the doctors, nurses, technicians and support staff that we are honored this commitment was recognized on a national level."

Newsweek partnered with The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit that provides safety and quality performance data for US health care facilities. To select the Best Maternity Hospitals 2020 list, the team focused on standards of excellence for maternity care. The panel of national experts reviewed data such as low rates of C-section, episiotomy and early elective deliveries and following crucial protocols to protect mothers and babies. Only the hospitals achieving excellence in these areas were highlighted.
