September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

  • In Colorado, every 1.9 days on an average a young person (ages 10-24) is lost to this "Silent Epidemic" of youth suicide.
  • Suicide is the10th leading cause of death in the US
  • In 2017, 47,173 Americans died by suicide
  • In 2015, suicide and self-injury cost the US $ 69 Billion

However, suicide has been declared a leading cause of preventable death
