Colorado girl donates special bears for fellow scoliosis fighters
A Colorado girl is working to comfort and inspire others diagnosed with scoliosis after years of surgeries and challenges herself.
The quick and extreme change led her to Rocky Mountain Pediatric OrthoOne where she met pediatric surgeon Dr. Jaren Riley.
“Unfortunately, her scoliosis got larger and larger to the point where she needed surgery,” Riley said. “But poor Chloe didn’t know that wouldn’t be the end of her surgical story. She tragically was very allergic to the metal that was implanted and had to go through removal of the hardware and then a long period of time with nothing holding her spine together.”
