Midwifery

Midwives are professionals who aid in the processes of labor, delivery and postpartum care. Midwifery minimizes the level of medical intervention during pregnancy and delivery, though midwives can still be present during a hospital delivery.

Certified nurse midwives (CNMs) in Denver

Our midwifery care unites the amenities of large hospitals with the compassion and personal attention of CNMs.

HealthONE welcomes the compassionate and holistic approach to care that nurse midwives bring to your birthing journey. We are able to pair this with access to advanced medical technology nearby, should you need it.

Specialized women's care

Our CNMs are registered nurses with specialized, advanced training and certification in women’s care. A midwife is a medical professional who provides prenatal, labor, delivery and postpartum care.

You might choose a midwife for your prenatal care if you're interested in unmedicated childbirth. You might also desire to have a provider who shares a holistic care philosophy.

CNMs support your goal to have as few medical interventions as possible. Our midwives are highly experienced with administering nonmedical treatments. They provide emotional and psychological support, as well as physical care, during and after your pregnancy.

Our CNMs work closely with you to understand your goals and expectations for pregnancy and childbirth. We empower you by supporting your right to choose the care strategies you prefer and that you believe will lead to the best outcomes.

  • Monitoring your overall well-being during pregnancy
  • Performing pelvic ultrasounds
  • Performing prenatal exams and testing requests
  • Providing referrals to one of our physicians as necessary

Your midwife will also support you during childbirth and postpartum. Our CNMs and expert physicians have a collaborative relationship, working together on your behalf.

Gynecological services

We also offer services for your lifetime care journey, including your first menstrual cycle and menopause. Our midwives work with our other women's healthcare professionals to provide these gynecological services:
