Colorado health authorities confirm 2nd measles case

Denver health officials confirmed a measles case in an unvaccinated infant who recently traveled to an outbreak area in Mexico.

"I don't want everybody rushing in and thinking right away that a healthy 6- to 11-month-old should immediately get one," said Dr. Neil Cella. "But I think the risks of the vaccine in my mind are a lot less than the risks of getting the disease."

Cella is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Doctor at HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's.
