Our Ronald McDonald Family Room is designed to provide families a place to relax and recharge within the hospital while still staying close to their child.

Home away from home, an escape right inside the hospital

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's at Presbyterian St. Luke's serves as a calm oasis for parents steps away from the pediatric or neonatal intensive care units. Here, parents can relax in the comforts of home, take a nap, enjoy a massage chair or get some much-needed quiet time away from the hospital atmosphere.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room is located on the 4th floor, off the elevators to the right.

Features and services of the HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's at Presbyterian St. Luke's Ronald McDonald Family Room include:

  • Hospital volunteer staff from 9:00am to 8:00pm daily, when available
  • Snacks and cold drinks
  • Kitchenette that includes an oven and microwave
  • Shower facilities and toiletries
  • Utility room with a washer and dryer
  • Internet access
  • Seating area with a television
  • Quiet reflection area with massage chairs
  • Children's play area

Healing sanctuary

In the Ronald McDonald Family Room, you'll find the comfort and support you need and remain down the hall from your child's hospital room. The room and volunteer team help families focus on the health and recovery of their sick children, as well as on themselves. Staying close by allows parents to better communicate with their child's medical team, alleviates stress and helps with coping. Additionally, families may find comfort in being surrounded by those in similar situations.

Please remember – no patients are allowed in the Family Room. Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone can call the Family Room to see if it is open at any time (720) 754-2010. No alcohol permitted.
