Wound care

Wound care involves medical interventions to heal a wound after injury. Specialized treatment is provided for wounds that are nonhealing or refuse to heal on their own. A vital aspect of treatment includes learning how to properly dress and care for a wound.

Hyperbaric medicine

Hyperbaric medicine, also known as hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), is an innovative therapeutic approach to healing chronic wounds. This medical technology allows you to breathe more oxygen than is possible with normal air pressure. This increase leads to faster healing throughout the body.

Conditions that can be treated with HBOT include:

  • Burns
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Gas gangrene
  • Compartment syndrome
  • Crush injuries
  • Necrotizing fasciitis
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Radiation injuries
  • Skin grafts
  • Thermal burns

Diabetes management and limb preservation program

Diabetes is a condition that often causes complications, including diabetic foot ulcers. This specific type of wound needs treatment in order to avoid further progression that can lead to an amputation. Our program provides healing treatment for your wound, while also educating you on how to avoid future wounds through the management of diabetes.

Our diabetes program includes educational information on diabetes and includes that in your individualized treatment plans. By learning how to manage this disease through nutrition, exercise and education, you can help avoid future foot ulcers.
