Child and family-friendly craniofacial centers
HealthONE offers cleft palate teams at two locations—one at Rose Medical Center and one at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. Both locations are family-centered and patient-oriented.
We want to make visits to the doctor as easy as possible for you and your little ones. To do that, all exams take place in a child- and family-friendly environment. We also do our best to complete the initial evaluation in one day.
Specialized care for cleft palate
Our philosophy of patient care emphasizes sensitivity to the needs of young patients and their families. It includes prioritizing consistent follow-up and clear communication with our patients and their referring physicians.
Team approach to cleft palate care
Your child's medical team will include clinicians from all types of specialties, including:
- Audiology
- Oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Orthodontics
- Otolaryngology
- Pediatric dentistry
- Pediatrics
- Plastic surgery
- Speech therapy
Together, we will discuss and design an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan for your child. Our team will also meet with you and your child, sharing information about what to expect during cleft palate procedures. This ensures excellent quality of care and coordinated, ongoing treatment and reevaluation, if appropriate.
Comprehensive, ongoing care
Our patients receive ongoing care that typically continues for several years. Successful treatment for cleft palate is achieved gradually through a series of well-planned reconstructive surgeries.
This involves coordination of all aspects of a patient’s care throughout the entire treatment period. We are committed to providing the best, long-term healthcare for our patients and their families.
