High-risk pregnancy care in central Denver

At Rose Babies Center for Maternal-Fetal Health, we offer experienced and compassionate high-risk pregnancy care.

If you're experiencing a "high-risk pregnancy," you may have many questions about what it means for you and your growing family. You may even be feeling anxiety when you're expected to feel joy and excitement. Rest assured, this designation simply means our specially trained maternal-fetal specialists will work more closely with you and your physician. We collaborate this way throughout your pregnancy and your labor and delivery to ensure you and your baby are as healthy as possible.

Additionally, if your baby needs extra support after birth, our hospital is equipped with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

High-risk pregnancy patient navigators

As an added benefit to our high-risk moms, we offer streamlined care coordinated by our high-risk patient navigators. From your initial diagnosis through delivery, your assigned patient navigator serves as your advocate, educator and supporter.

Your navigator also acts as a central point of contact, helping to coordinate care and communication among your care team, including specialists, OB/GYNs, surgeons, therapists and nursing staff.

Gestational diabetes program

If you have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, education and/or medication management is available through either the Rose Diabetes Center or the Rose Center for Maternal and Fetal Health. Your OB provider will refer you to the best location for you based on the severity of your condition and your health goals.

Antepartum unit: inpatient care for high-risk pregnancies

Sometimes expectant moms need to spend more time with us at Rose, in order for your OB or midwife to keep a more watchful eye on your pregnancy. Our welcoming, updated antepartum unit provides you with modern rooms and special amenities for a comfortable stay. Each room is spacious, light and bright, has a big soaking tub, and includes an Apple TV so you can keep up with your shows and entertainment when you’re with us, among other things. Your OB provider can check on you here, plus we have round-the-clock coverage by perinatologists, physicians who specialize in high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. We know this time can be emotionally difficult, which is why our program includes complimentary visits from our in-house perinatal behavioral health therapist to check in on your emotional wellbeing and help you process any emotions. We also provide the Bedrest Sisterhood, a support group for antepartum patients.
