A stress-free pediatric ER experience for families
We understand that going to the ER can be overwhelming for children. To help ease their concerns, we use a communication system that is easy for kids to understand. Each child admitted to the ER will receive a tablet that explains care and treatment to pediatric patients through carefully crafted videos. The system also sends instant messages to update patients and provides profiles on the nursing staff and doctors.
This system facilitates communication and entertainment in an easy, efficient way. While waiting for results, patients may browse the internet, view health-related videos, watch shows or play age-appropriate games. It serves as a fun distraction for children during procedures and allows our pediatric specialists to focus on what they do best—caring for kids.
Through using this system, we can increase treatment efficiency, patient satisfaction and understanding. It helps families know what to expect next during their ER visit and better understand care instructions upon returning home.
