Physical therapy

Physical therapists help diagnose, manage and treat disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, bones and joints. They also work to help rehabilitate you after surgery. Our dedicated outpatient and inpatient physical therapists are committed to improving your health and helping you return to your regular lifestyle. Our therapists are continually educating themselves in the most advanced techniques of rehabilitation, with the ultimate goal of ensuring successful treatment.

Physical therapy for back, neck and spine problems

We offer the following forms of therapy to aid in the rehabilitation process for when you are experiencing a back, neck or spine problem:

  • Active therapies — These involve your participation in some way. These therapies are used to address flexibility, mobility, coordination, weakness, stiffness, weight-bearing intolerance and pain.
  • Biomechanic therapy — This therapy is focused on teaching practical skills to protect your spine by avoiding unnecessary strain or stress. During biomechanic therapy, you will learn how to properly bend, lift, reach, carry, stand, sit and get in and out of vehicles.
  • Passive therapies — This type of therapy does not require your participation, and includes such things as the application of heat, ultrasound, spinal manipulations, myofascial release and electrical stimulation. Passive therapy can help restore and increase mobility, alleviate pain and reduce muscle spasms.

Speech therapy

Our speech therapy program offers a variety of services for when you may be experiencing disorders affecting speech, language and swallowing. These services include:

  • Assessment and diagnosis
  • Condition management and intervention
  • Consultations
