Bone density testing

Osteoporosis affects approximately 25 percent of women 65 years old and older. This is because a woman's estrogen hormone helps keep her bones protected, however, estrogen levels decrease drastically as women reach menopause.

To help manage this issue, we provide bone density testing at North Suburban Mammograph Center. This test can diagnose or determine the stage of osteoporosis, which causes bones to become weak, brittle and more easily fractured.

Gynecology

Our gynecologists treat a variety of conditions to serve women of all ages.

Abnormal uterine bleeding treatment

Our women's health specialists offer expert care for you if you have abnormal uterine bleeding. We understand this is an important and personal topic, and our experienced team helps you find a solution that best meets your personal needs.

In many cases, heavy or irregular abnormal uterine bleeding is a result of one of the following conditions:

  • Hormone replacement therapy
  • Gynecologic cancer
  • Uterine fibroids
  • Uterine polyps
  • Vaginal atrophy

We will perform a comprehensive physical and medical evaluation to identify the cause of your condition. Then, we may suggest a treatment such as medication, hormonal therapy or surgery. It may also be best for you if we simply closely monitor the condition before providing medical intervention. Either way, we will communicate clearly with you and ensure you have what you need to make an informed decision.

Minimally invasive gynecological surgery
