Pediatric outpatient rehabilitation

Comprehensive therapy programs

Our therapists perform a comprehensive evaluation of your child and develop an individualized treatment plan to optimize their performance at all levels. Our therapy programs are designed to improve ability and enhance performance.

For children up to 16 years old, we provide access to a range of experts, including board-certified pediatric physical therapists, certified lactation counselors and interdisciplinary collaboration with physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy — all located in central Denver.

Services we offer:

Feeding and swallowing

Our team provides outpatient feeding evaluations and therapy as well as swallow studies in our radiology department. Infants and children that may benefit from a swallow study and/ or outpatient evaluation and treatment include children with:

  • Conditions stemming from a premature birth
  • Complex or significant medical history
  • Neurological disorders
  • Difficulty chewing and swallowing foods
  • Coughing or choking with liquids/solids
  • Respiratory compromise, history of respiratory illness
  • Wet or gurgle sound in voice after meals
  • Craniofacial abnormalities or facial asymmetries, including cleft palate
  • Extended feeding times (over 30 minutes)
Occupational therapy
  • Pencil grasps, handwriting and cutting
  • Upper extremity range of motion and motor coordination
  • Difficulty following directions or attending to task
  • Poor safety in their environment, sensory seeking or avoiding, poor emotion regulation
  • Dressing, self-feeding and toileting
  • Using adaptive equipment
  • Developmental play milestones
Physical therapy
  • Prefers to keep head turned to one side
  • Head shape
  • Developmental milestones: Rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, jumping
  • Muscle weakness
  • Clumsy or falls down a lot
  • Difficulty walking, running or walking on toes
  • Sports injuries or difficulty playing a sport
  • Orthopedic and neurological conditions
  • Orthotic needs
  • Oncology rehabilitation
Speech therapy
  • Communication difficulties, including late talkers
  • Speech is difficult to understand and/ or child mispronounces certain sounds
  • Problem solving and reasoning
  • Difficulty following directions
  • Social language skills

To schedule an appointment, please call (720) 754-6760. However, please note that a physician referral is required for pediatric rehab services. Please fax your referral prescription to (720) 754-7757 or bring it with you to your first appointment.

We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicaid and Colorado Access. Please check with your insurance carrier to confirm your coverage.

Appointments are available (without a waiting list) Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

We offer free valet parking for your convenience.
