Minimally invasive surgery

Minimally invasive surgery is an effective surgical method that is less intrusive than traditional surgery. By using small incisions and instruments, we are able to create positive surgical outcomes that typically have minimal scarring, faster recovery times and shorter hospital stays.

In addition to the benefits of minimally invasive surgery (such as less pain and a quicker recovery), single-site procedures are virtually scar-less.

Robot-assisted bronchoscopy

Ours was the first hospital in Colorado to offer a powerful new robot-assisted bronchoscopy technology. A real game changer in the earlier detection of lung cancers, the system allows our physicians to biopsy small, peripheral nodules in the most difficult-to-reach areas of the lungs with uninterrupted vision and incredible control.

Enlarged prostate robot-assisted treatments

Aquablation® also known as prostatic hydroablation, is a safe and effective minimally invasive procedure for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate. The method uses a heat-free water jet delivered with robotic precision to provide long-lasting symptom relief. It has very low rates of irreversible complications like erectile and ejaculatory dysfunction and incontinence.

Our hospital is currently the only hospital in Colorado offering this innovative treatment option. Visit our blog to learn more about prostatic hydroablation therapy.

The Center for Robotic Surgery

We have the only dedicated robotic center in Colorado, located in the Evergreen Building on our campus.

Why choose robotic surgery?

Robot-assisted surgery is an effective treatment and offers many benefits over traditional surgeries.

Benefits of robotic surgery

Robotic surgery technology requires only a few small incisions. With this technique, our surgeons use image guidance to control robotic arms to perform surgery. For the surgeon, this allows them to have extreme precision and treat hard-to-reach areas with less damage to surrounding tissues.

This has numerous benefits for you, including less scarring, a quicker recovery and a shorter hospital stay. The ultimate benefit is that we get you back to living your life as fully as possible and as soon as possible.
