The Center for Robotic Surgery at Sky Ridge
Coming Soon to the Sky Ridge Campus! Sky Ridge Medical Center is constructing our new Center for Robotic Surgery at Sky Ridge located in the Evergreen Building. The center will feature four operating rooms, a dedicated pre-op and PACU and direct access to the hospital at Sky Ridge.
Why choose robotic surgery?
Robotic technology requires only a few small incisions, which has numerous benefits to the patient. These benefits include less scarring, a quicker recovery and a shorter hospital stay. Learn more about how robotic surgery works.
Robotic single-site surgery
In addition to the benefits of minimally invasive surgery (less pain, quicker recovery, fewer complications), The Center for Robotic Surgery at Sky Ridge also offers single-incision surgery for select patients needing a hysterectomy or gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy). Patients who receive this type of procedure usually experience virtually scarless results. To accomplish this, surgeons operate through only one small incision in the navel (belly button). After a fast recovery, the scar is almost impossible to see.
Sky Ridge was the first hospital in Colorado to offer a powerful new robotic assisted bronchoscopy technology. A real game changer in the earlier detection of lung cancers, the system allows our physicians to biopsy small, peripheral nodules in the most difficult to reach areas of the lungs with uninterrupted vision and incredible control.
