Surgical treatment for vascular disease
Our vascular surgery program is recognized as a leader in diagnosis and management of vascular disease. With fellowship-trained vascular surgeons, a hybrid OR and a state-of-the-art cardiovascular lab and diagnostic services, we excel at treating more common conditions as well as rare disorders of the vascular system.
Our vascular surgeons are experienced in treating the full spectrum of vascular diseases and disorders, from peripheral artery disease (PAD) to aortic aneurysms. They work as a team with other specialists, such as cardiologists and neurosurgeons, to coordinate care and treat the whole body, not just the vascular system.
The Sky Ridge vascular program:
- Offers 24/7 vascular surgeon coverage
- Has the only hybrid OR suite in the area
- Performs procedures such as peripheral vascular occlusion, peripheral vascular bypass and arterial access
- Provides interventional technology for enhanced capacity to rapidly treat major trauma and hemorrhage
- Treats major vascular conditions using minimally invasive techniques
Our vascular surgeons perform minimally invasive surgery whenever possible. This type of surgery requires smaller incisions, resulting in less scarring, reduced blood loss and fewer complications and, ultimately, a faster recovery for the patient.
Our hybrid OR suite
Sky Ridge’s hybrid OR suite enables our vascular surgeons and vascular care team to perform more complex vascular surgeries, and we are the only hospital in the area offering this level of care.
This hybrid operating room combines the capabilities of a traditional OR with advanced imaging equipment, allowing vascular surgeons to perform both interventional procedures and more complex surgeries in the same location. As the Lone Tree Voice said, it is a "one-stop shop” for surgery.
